Orion Meints (they/them) is a Clinical Social Work Associate at LifeStance Health in Eugene, Oregon. Orion approaches therapy focused on strengths based and trauma informed care, using a number of different styles and modalities focused on the client’s needs. Orion works with adult clients with many concerns, including trauma issues and disorders such as DID and PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, issues related to being queer or transgender, as well as grief and loss. Orion approaches therapy with a focus on the person in the context of their environment, looking at the ways in which systems of oppression, communities, families can impact the mental health of the individual. Orion’s goal is always to hold space for those with marginalized and varying intersecting identities to feel safe and affirmed. Orion has a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University with a clinical concentration and a specialization in integrated behavioral health care. Beyond work, Orion enjoys visits to the Oregon coast and time with their cats Captain Malcolm Reynolds and Freddie Mercury, both of whom often appear during telehealth sessions.
