Julie Vellucci-Melo, PsyD, Post-doctoral Fellow

Julie Vellucci-Melo has a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from William James College. She attended Harvard University for her undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Master of Arts concentrating in Human Development with a focus on clinical developmental psychology at Tufts University. Prior to her placement at LifeStance Health, Dr. Vellucci-Melo completed practicum placements at Lahey Salem and Haverhill Emergency Services, Somerville Cambridge Elder Services, and UMass Memorial Community Healthlink, Together for Kids TFK .

Dr. Vellucci-Melo has provided individual, group, and family therapy for individuals across the lifespan with a range of diagnoses including anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, trauma, depression, self-harm, stress management, adjustment disorders, and childhood behavior problems. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, and interpersonal difficulties. Dr. Vellucci-Melo utilizes a wide range of approaches in therapy including Cognitive-Behavioral, Insight Oriented, Solution Focused, Supportive, and Systems Theory. She provides individual adult therapy. In her spare time, Dr. Vellucci-Melo enjoys reading, gardening, and walking.
