I am a board-certified psychiatrist as well as a psycho-oncologist who treats adults of all ages. My focus is on helping clients find and manifest meaning in their lives, transform potential into reality, and become the best version of their selves. My approach is to apply principles of neuroscience, psychology, meditation and mindfulness, stress management, nutrition, exercise, and pharmacology, to not only alleviate suffering but ultimately to promote thriving.

I earned my medical degree at the Catholic University of Guayaquil. I then completed my psychiatry residency at Duke University Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where I was the recipient of numerous accolades and commendations by both colleagues and clients. Later I completed a clinical and research fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psycho-Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
