Eugene Kimn, MD

I am dedicated to compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative patient care for all ages, genders, orientations, and cultures. I believe the best care can be provided when viewing the client from a combination of biological, psychological, social, and cultural perspectives. It is my goal to have the client / family come out of session feeling they have been heard and their opinions valued. While I am experienced working with individuals with different needs and backgrounds, I have special interest in minority mental health, childhood mood and anxiety disorders, transitional age / college youth, trauma, and substance use disorders. I utilize a combination of approaches, including therapy, mindfulness, and medication when needed.

I obtained my undergraduate degree at Duke University and my medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. I moved to Los Angeles and competed my general residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Southern California, where I also completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. Due to my interest in youth with substance use disorders, I completed my Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at UCLA-San Fernando Valley / Cedars Sinai. I have worked in mental health and substance use with adults and youth in both residential and outpatient settings in the Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Malibu, and San Fernando Valley areas.
