Dr. Brandon Hinrichs, MD
Beginning in July 2023, resident doctors training in psychiatry at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital – HCA Healthcare x Tufts University School of Medicine residency program began seeing patients under supervision of Board-Certified psychiatrists at LifeStance Health. Resident doctors are doctors who have completed four years of medical school and are in the midst of completing their specialty training in psychiatry. Resident doctors from Portsmouth Regional Hospital will be completing their third postgraduate year of training at LifeStance Health, Inc. and patients will have the opportunity to be seen by resident doctors, who will collaborate with supervising psychiatrists to deliver optimal psychiatric treatment. This collaboration is the first of its kind and provides an opportunity to increase patient access to gold-standard psychiatric care while also allowing patients to contribute to the education and formation of the next generation of psychiatrists. Interests in psychiatry are varied across the inaugural class of psychiatry resident doctors, including reproductive mental health, treatment of BIPOC and LGBTQ+, serious mental illness, psychotherapy, integrative psychiatry, and more!
