Psychologist and Therapist in Beachwood, Ohio Gary Carrington, Psychologist

Dr. Carrington is a licensed psychologist and clinical counselor with supervision endorsement who has served on the faculty and counseling staff of Cuyahoga Community College since 2000. His extensive experience includes mental health care and clinical supervision at The Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland and additional faculty positions at Cleveland State University and Kent State University. A board member of the Ohio Psychological Association, Dr. Carrington also serves as Diversity Chair and Leadership Development Academy Fellow, and is the two-year Diversity Delegate for the American Psychological Association State Leadership Conference held in Washington, DC. He also served on the Boards of the Northern Ohio Recovery Association and the Women’s Community Foundation and is currently a board member of the Jordan Community Resource Center. He has presented nationally on subjects including intercultural communication and understanding microaggressions. Dr. Carrington holds a master’s degree in community clinical counseling from Morehouse College and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Kent State University. He is currently enrolled in a post-doctoral program in psychopharmacology at Alliant University. He sees individuals ages 12 through 64.
