Psychologist and Therapist in Tigard, Oregon Caedy Young Hildebrandt, PhD

Caedy Young Hildebrandt, PhD

Dr. Caedy Young Hildebrandt is a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment. She has ten years of experience in assessment, and has worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private medical practice settings. In her previous position, Caedy served as director of an assessment program in a college counseling center, as well as a training director for a cohort of practicum students and postdoctoral residents. With regard to educational attainment, Dr. Hildebrandt earned her B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. all from Pacific University in Oregon. She currently attends Johns Hopkins University and is completing an additional M.A. in scientific writing to further strengthen her approach in empirical work. Clinically, Dr. Hildebrandt works with adults aged eighteen and older.

She works exclusively as an assessment psychologist, and offers evaluations for neurodevelopmental, neurocognitive, and neurodegenerative conditions, as well as evaluations for gender affirming surgery. Caedy specializes in the assessment of memory impairment, ADHD and executive dysfunction, complex learning disorders, and mild cognitive impairment/subjective cognitive decline. Dr. Hildebrandt’s approach to evaluation is comprehensive, culturally-responsive, and tailored to each patient’s needs and presenting concerns. With a strong commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in her work, Caedy especially enjoys supporting underserved/marginalized populations including older adults, first generation college students, and trans/gender nonconforming individuals. She offers both in-office and telehealth services depending on the context of the evaluation. Though it is quite different from therapy, Dr. Hildebrandt believes that assessment can also serve as an intervention in improving functioning and quality of life, and she brings a warm interpersonal approach throughout the challenging process of objective testing with each of her patients.

Outside of work, Caedy loves spending time with her dog, cats, and leopard gecko, as well as her human loved ones. She is a perpetual student who loves learning, so much of her free time is spent doing homework and reading articles about a variety of brain-related topics. Beyond that, when she isn’t playing Dungeons & Dragons, she can be found watching almost any Star Wars film, or enjoying table top, card, and video games with her husband and their friends.
