Rachael Hallam, LCSW
Rachael Hallam, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, and trauma. Rachael particularly enjoys working with groups to teach valuable relationship and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills. She believes the group environment is very beneficial for participants because they gain support and understanding as they work together through common concerns. Rachael’s engaging style makes her a popular facilitator.
She has worked with populations ranging from children in foster care, to people experiencing homelessness and SPMI issues, to clients in home health and hospice care. She has used music in her therapy as a means to promote insight and awareness when processing emotions.
Rachael believes that the client therapist relationship is a sacred space that can lead to healing as both parties are patient but hopeful about progress made, and believes everyone can heal and find strength through their trauma. She always looks for ways to incorporate evidence-based principles into her work so that clients have the best possible chance to succeed in gaining better mental health.
Rachael received her undergraduate degree in social work from Brigham Young University and completed her master’s at University of Utah. Her research focused on how music helps children heal who have experienced trauma and gang violence.
