Mr. Carey earned the American Nurses Credentialing Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He is licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is licensed through the Drug Enforcement Agency to prescribe medications, and is credentialed with insurance and managed care companies to provide outpatient psychiatric care given his years of extended training and supervision in a variety of psychiatric settings

He obtained his psychiatric experience working on an inpatient psychiatric unit, intensive outpatient treatment program, and two community based outpatient clinics.
