Richard Naimark, MD
Dr. Naimark is an independent consultant engaged in psychiatric evaluations and medication management for LifeStance Health.
Seeing a psychiatrist for the first time can be a frightening and anxiety provoking experience. People are often concerned about the stigma of seeing a shrink. Yet psychiatric disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, or socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, avoiding treatment does not solve the problem. I strive to help my patients feel as comfortable as possible, fostering an environment of respect, trust, and openness. I believe that by collaborating with my patients, I can help them to maximize their potential and quality of life.
Evaluation and treatment will be tailored to the individual needs of each patient. What works well for one individual may be completely ineffective for another. Decisions will always be made together with each patient and will not be ordered. Input from family members when desired and appropriate will be encouraged. Privacy concerns will always be respected, though safety must always be the first priority.
