Ryan is inspired by those who have overcome adversity in their lives and who are learning to work through their challenges, even when it is difficult. Ryan specializes in working with adults, couples and adolescents facing depression, anxiety, substance dependence, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, anger and relationship issues. He uses an integrative approach to therapy including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and person-centered therapy. Ryan is an active listener who assists clients in understanding their behaviors, thoughts and emotions while teaching new skills towards helping individuals who seek change and empowerment in their lives. He has significant experience and is passionate about working with clients in their recovery journey and helping navigate through substance dependence disorders. Ryan earned his master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). Ryan’s past clinical experience includes partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy at Rogers Memorial Hospital and ProHealth Care. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and children, as well as playing sports, spending time outdoors and coaching baseball and basketball.
