Sandy moved to Oregon in 1991 to complete her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Oregon. Over the next 3 decades she worked to enhance the physical and mental health of her clients including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She began working as a midwife nurse practitioner in 2012, providing obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. After 10 years in women’s health, she obtained a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree, turning her attention to optimizing mental wellness for people of all gender identities and sexes. Sandy passionately engages in shared decision making with her clients and believes the most effective treatment plans are made collaboratively. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and gardening.
