While in session with Sara, you’ll discover a safe space, one that is judgement free and that will allow you to express whatever feelings you may be experiencing. Sara will meet you where you are in life and join you on your journey. You’ll build a trusting relationship, and from there you’ll learn to overcome a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma related problems, relationship issues, and communication barriers. The tools that Sara uses to help clients include active listening, mindfulness, and teaching empowerment. Sara recognizes and understands that you are the expert on your life, and together you’ll find and employ the techniques best suited to your healing. The treatment modalities Sara uses include components of CBT, DBT, and Person-Centered Therapy. Sara has a Master of Arts in Social Work and fifteen years of post-graduate experience gained while working at community mental health centers and with child welfare agencies.
