Dr. Brooks believes in an Eclectic Interdisciplinary Treatment including Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Neuropsychopharmacology with Internal Medicine and Neurology Consultation/Collaboration as indicated with Psychotherapy (all appropriate modalities) in coordination with Nursing, Social Work Services, Case Management Services and Substance Abuse Services (where appropriate and necessary) and in coordination with the Courts (as may be ordered in advance of adjudication and/or sentencing and/or upon conditional release in lieu of incarceration or upon release and probation / parole therefrom. Dr. Brooks believes that treatment planning in coordination of care is essential and that relating to a patient’s strengths and providing associated family care (where possible and appropriate) is essential where indicated and as an interdisciplinary team effort. Each patient is an individual with specific needs and is to be respected in provision of services as such. Patients’ rights are to be respected as is consistent with good care and the law.

In his spare time, Dr. Brooks enjoys golf/reading in science, philosophy, religion, medicine, and psychiatry (and interdisciplinary books and publications related thereto; visiting friends and neighbors and helping others in distress wherever he may find them) and attending Catholic Mass and enjoying discourse with the Catholic Priests there, some of whom are in their training. Teaching and sharing with others all that he has have been privileged to learn and experience in his lifetime and learning from them in return.
