Sohed Nicole Amaya, RCSWI Sohed Nicole Amaya is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in Florida who has been practicing since 2022. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, as well as a Military Social Work Certificate and graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Sohed has experience working with adults, geriatrics, and the veteran populations, and has helped clients to work on concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, adjustment to life transitions, self-esteem, and geriatrics care. Sohed utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach which includes Client-Centered and CBT as she recognizes that every person is a complex and dynamic individual who deserves an individualized treatment plan based on their lifestyle and goals. Sohed helps clients to use their strengths in order to create change by recognizing maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that interfere with our ability to connect with others and live a fulfilling, rich, and meaningful life. She strives to provide compassionate care and a space without judgement where clients feel safe sharing their intimate thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and experiences. She believes that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is an essential component of successful therapy; she regularly practices the skills that she teaches her clients herself, such as self-care and reflection. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.
