Stephanie Krznarich, LISW-S
Stephanie Krznarich is a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in Ohio who has been practicing since 1993. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University and attended Bethany Theological Seminary where her focus was on Pastoral Care and Counseling as well as Chaplaincy. Stephanie brings more than 30 years of experience to the counseling relationship. Her focus has been working with individuals who have substance use disorders and/or mental health disorders, cognitive impairment, in addition to trauma survivors. The age of the population Stephanie serves is primarily adults with some adolescents and some children who are challenged with autism. The most common therapeutic modalities Stephanie utilizes are Client Centered Therapy with a “strengths-based perspective” utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy plus Motivational Interviewing within a Family Systems approach operating on what is going right in the client’s life. It is important to note that not one therapeutic technique works for all individuals and that there are many methods/techniques we use to achieve a positive outcome. You and Stephanie will identify what has been successful in the past and what you can incorporate into the counseling process. You and Stephanie shall investigate triggers, stressors or cues that are less helpful and ways to cope when they present themselves. One of our primary goals is to gain insight as well as skills to address the condition and resolve symptoms associated with your illness. Just as you are one of a kind, your experience in counseling will be unique because you will incorporate your personal history, knowledge, and gifts. Together you and Stephanie shall work towards an outcome that is well-balanced with meaning and purpose. Outside of work, Stephanie’s interests include her family, friends, and spending time outside with her two big dogs. She enjoys singing, hiking, and camping and/or “glamping.” She enjoys seeing new sights both nationally and internationally.
