I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master of Science (MS) in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. In addition to my education, I have worked with clients from adolescence through adulthood using both individual and group therapy. I also hold a Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. I have had a private practice utilizing Clinical Hypnosis to aid clients in weight management, PTSD, dealing with phobias and smoking cessation. I work with clients using Neuro-Linguistic Programming to modify unproductive behaviors and remove negative thoughts from their everyday life. Some of the groups I have led include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Substance Use, Alcohol Use, Career Counseling, and Adolescent Relationship Management as well as educational groups on the effects of Alcohol and Substance Use.

My personal philosophy of counseling is to consider therapy a partnership between you and I. I will empower, encourage and support you in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I use a holistic approach to therapy, which includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Talk Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, and Holistic Therapy. My main goal is to help you find the path that will make your life what you want it to be. In learning about what brought you into therapy, we can work together to identify where you want your life to go. Then we will identify goals to help you get there and improve the quality of your life and your relationships with others. In therapy we focus not on the past, but on living in the present with a plan for the future.

In my free time I love to hang out with my family and friends, take daily walks while listening to a book on my phone, and hang out with my cat while watching movies or documentaries. I love to relax by cooking, driving and surfing the web.
