Steve Swan, LPC

Steve Swan, LPC, CAC III, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor. He received his master’s degree of community mental health from Adams State University. Steve shares his genuinely transparent humanness, respectfully honoring your dignity to partner with your inherent strengths. In session, you will feel warmth and empathetic presence. Steve will help empower you to move through challenges using your own inner wisdom in creating newfound perspectives of yourself, to help change your relationship with things that feel seemingly insurmountable.

Steve works with those who’ve experienced trauma, life-stressors, anxiety, depression and grief. Steve uses a variety of approaches found in cognitive and dialectical behavior theory, to include Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems. The goals of these modalities being to strengthen mindful awareness, and discovering attunement to body sensations, emotions and thoughts. Steve has served diverse populations of individuals and families in a variety of treatment settings, including hospital inpatient, emergency and mobile crisis assessment, substance use, co-dependency, hospice and home care. Steve’s passions are learning, balancing nutrition and physical activity and restoring 100-year-old motorcycles.
