Steve Swan, LPCC, CAC III, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Certified Addictions Counselor. He received his master’s degree in mental health counseling from Adams State University. Steve shares his genuinely transparent and empathetic humanness, honoring your dignity with respect to begin partnering in connection with your inherent strengths to empower you to move through challenges with new found perspectives of yourself and your circumstances. Steve works with those who experience anxiety, depression, grief, life-stressors and trauma. Steve uses a variety of approaches found in cognitive and dialectical behavior theory for strengthening mindful awareness, and discovering attunement to body sensations, emotions and thoughts found in somatic theory for healing wounds from trauma. Steve has served diverse populations of individuals and families in a variety of treatment settings, including hospital inpatient, emergency and mobile crisis assessment, substance use, co-dependency, hospice and home care. Steve’s passions are learning, balancing nutrition and physical activity and restoring 100-year-old motorcycles.
