Hey, my name is Brie Chatigny, and I am a licensed professional counselor with an Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician Certification. I am a current military spouse with four children.

I received my undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Psychology and Behavioral Science and a Clinical Mental Health Master s degree through Walden University. I am currently working on completing Doctorate in Psychology in Behavioral Health Leadership.

In my current history as a licensed counselor, I have worked in a psychiatric mental hospital with children and adolescents, and in a community mental health facility with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

My priority in working with my clients with genuine care, empathy, and sense of humor will help you relax and feel comfortable as you engage in therapy with me. It is important to me that all my clients feel they are understood and validated in their session.

My therapeutic approach includes incorporates psychoeducation, which may include weekly challenges such as processing assignments or behavioral activities. My preferred foundational approach to therapy is person centered to honor each of my client s unique experiences and worldview. I adapt my therapeutic modality to fit my clients needs to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Behavior Modification, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

My clients can expect to learn and set firm boundaries and advocate for their needs while enhancing their self-esteem. They also learn to address conflict and confront others in appropriate ways. I have experience addressing include relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, co-dependence, ADHD, drug and alcohol abuse, anger management, communication, and stress management.
