Emily T. Peterson, MA, LPC
Our views about others, the world and ourselves lead to distinctive behaviors that we adopt in pursuit of our life goals. Therefore, we all need encouragement to correct mistaken perceptions of self and others and learn to initiate new behavioral interaction patterns. Cognitive restructuring plays a central role in my approach, in which Emily helps her clients see that they have the capacity to find their own solutions to difficulties they face and are the experts of their own lives.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter, exploring small mountain towns, going on early morning runs, meeting friends for coffee, and serving on the prayer team at her church.
