Cathleen believes that therapy is an active journey of working together in an empowering, authentic, and warm space. Cathleen will use a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to explore how you relate to the present and past, examining both individual and systemic factors to understand the concerns that are bringing you to therapy. Cathleen believes each of us has inherent abilities to heal and encourages going beyond traditional talk therapy and week to week support to move towards the life you desire. Using trauma-informed care, she will help you continue to develop in areas of emotional intelligence, self-compassion, self-awareness, and connecting with your innate worth to achieve your goals.

While Cathleen works with clients to find a modality that fits each individual’s needs, she primarily practices from internal family systems, EMDR therapy, and somatic modalities. Cathleen specializes in areas including PTSD, CPTSD, dissociative disorders, as well as anxiety and mood disorders. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University and a decade in the field, Cathleen has diverse experience working in settings including community mental health, inpatient acute care, and intensive outpatient programs. Originally from South Carolina, Cathleen enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking, connecting with others, reading, and all things outdoors.
