Antoinette Wilson, LCSW
Does life seem like it’s just too much to handle a lot of the time? Would you consider a “Mental Health Makeover”? Let Antoinette Wilson teach you what she has learned about Mind Management. It can help you overcome some bad habits and impact your mood. In session she will remind you you’re working with a real human being, not someone who thinks they have all the answers. The structure of your sessions depends on what you need that day.
Antoinette combines her background in case management, crisis stabilization, forensic psychiatric care, military life and medical and school social work when building therapeutic relationships. She has worked in mental health since 2006 and became a Licensed Therapist in 2014. From an early age she was drawn to understanding how the mind works and how to navigate the world when your mind feels like your enemy. These interests pushed her toward her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Master of Social Work and becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
When you work with her expect to learn what your CORE BELIEFS are and how they play a role in your day-to-day life. You should also walk away from therapy with a stronger sense of SELF by knowing who you are, what you truly value in life and how you see yourself. She will probably send you videos to watch between sessions to bring your therapy journey alive. She covers a lot a different areas (i.e. ADHD, Anger Expression, Anxiety/Panic Attacks, Bibliotherapy, Bipolar Disorders, Crisis Prevention, Depression, Life Adjustments, Self-concept, Sleep Disturbances, Somatic Issues, Stress Mgmt, and Suicidal Thought Management) using a lot of different therapies (i.e. Bibliotherapy, CBT, Experiential, Gestalt, Humanistic-Existential, Integrative, Narrative Psychodynamic, REBT, Solutions-focused, Somatic-informed and Trauma-focused).
Antoinette believes many of our mental health issues can be addressed by teaching how our brains impact our minds. At the end of the day, Antoinette hopes working with her will mean you start to see life with fresh eyes and feel strong enough to create the life you actually WANT to be living.
