Kirsten Raether, PsyD, Post Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Kirsten Raether is a Post Doctoral Fellow in Illinois. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Illinois State University and then went on to receive her M.Ed. and Psy.D. in School Psychology from the APA-accredited Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Dr. Raether is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). She completed her pre-doctoral internship through the University of Arizona Psychology Internship Consortium, where she worked for Tucson Unified School District in both primary and secondary schools. Dr. Raether completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Brain and Body Integration in Denver, Colorado where she completed psychological, neuropsychological, and learning disorder evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.


Dr. Raether has also been trained in alternative school settings for children and adolescents to manage challenging behaviors that take place in an academic setting. Dr. Raether specializes in working with individuals who have experienced difficulties related to anxiety, depression, learning, and trauma. She also enjoys working with those who are navigating life changes and experiencing life stressors. With a strong commitment to providing client-centered care, Dr. Raether prioritizes understanding individual needs and preferences to tailor therapy practices accordingly. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, Dr. Raether creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace, fostering personal growth and healing. With a caring and understanding approach, Dr. Raether is committed to supporting each client in their mental health journey.


Out of the office, Dr. Raether enjoys weightlifting and nutrition, going to concerts, self-care practices, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Ozzy.
