Patricia Fehr, LCPC, CADC

Patricia Fehr is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified alcohol and other drug Counselor who has been practicing since 1990. She earned her master's degree in counseling psychology from Illinois State University and also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Trish, as she prefers to be called, offers patients a judgment free and safe place to explore how their past could be impacting their current choices while examining which coping choices are adaptive and which are maladaptive.

Trish provides evidence-based treatment interventions to educate, train and support a patient as they learn healthier ways to manage stress by building awareness of the cognitions and emotions that either support or interfere with their goals. Trish helps her patients identify stage of change issues to increase personal awareness of patterns so they can initiate appropriate change and increase their ability to practice healthy acceptance. Her goal is to assist them in developing an internal locus of control so they can respond rather than react to people, places and circumstances they encounter.

Trish also has the background and training to work with individuals struggling with process or substance addictions and their families, exploring a variety of approaches. She completed training in EMDR to expand her toolkit for those who are triggered by talk therapy and teaches grounding, relaxation and meditation skills to give them a base on which to navigate a new relationship with themselves and others. For those who are interested in exploring their personal faith beliefs, which may have been impacted by the actions of others, she provides an opportunity to process difficult questions so a new understanding of God Can begin to develop.

Outside of work, Trish enjoys walking, volunteer opportunities, women's groups, game nights, reading, plays and concerts alone or with friends and family.
