Mary Beth Taylor, MHR, LPC
Mental health issues affect everyone, not just the individual seeking help for their mental health issues. Mary Beth likes to think of this as ripples on a pond. Therapy can also create a ripple effect by giving the patient support all around them. It s important to include family members, if at all possible and particularly with children and adolescent, because healing is going to happen at home. Mary Beth enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She likes to think she is a safe person, creating a safe space, for all her clients to be able to open up and grow in their confidence and belief in themselves. Most of her clients need help with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bullying and needing help to learn relaxation and coping skills. In her practice, Mary Beth uses cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, client-centered therapy, and feminist therapy and always uses the person-centered approach as she works to meet clients where they are at in their mental health journey. Mary Beth offers a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to talk about anything and everything they may need help navigating. Many clients tell her that her gentle, warm nature helps them open up.
In her spare time, Mary Beth likes to travel with her husband and spend time with their cats and dogs. She also likes to cross-stitch, read, and watch TV.
