Alissa Ellsworth is a Certified Social Worker Associate in Oregon who has been practicing since 2022. She earned a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from George Fox University. Alissa has experience working as a crisis stabilization therapist for children and teens. She challenges clients as they work toward their treatment goals, helping them to grow and develop into the best version of themselves. She understands that the therapeutic process is unique for each individual, so she is happy to find the specific style and approach that works best for each client, ensuring they are comfortable and can get the most out of their time together.

She uses therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, PCIT, TBRI, and Synergetic Play Therapy. Alissa is set up to provide play therapy. She believes that play is the way that children process and communicate information when they don't have the ability to articulate their feelings and needs to adults. She values providing a space where clients feel safe and comfortable to process whatever has brought them into therapy. She functions from developmental and attachment theory with special attention to neurobiology and nervous system regulation.

Outside of work, Alissa enjoys horseback riding and sewing. She enjoys spending time with her husband; you can find them going on adventures with their German Shorthaired Pointer or finding new restaurants to try. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and fellowshipping with her church community.
