Sophia DeNicola is a Professional Counseling Associate in Oregon who has been practicing since 2022. She has a Bachelors in Religious Studies from Humboldt State University and a Masters in Professional Mental Health from Lewis and Clark Graduate School.

Sophia believes that all people struggle, and all people are capable of change, healing, and growth. As a counselor, it is her job to create a secure environment for you to explore your unique experience and context, get in touch with your own innate wisdom, and walk alongside you while offering avenues to untangle what has become unmanageable alone. Sophia utilizes a pyscho-bio-social model, guided by the structure of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a trauma-informed lens, and always considers the culture, context, and social locations of each unique client.

In her spare time, Sophia enjoys being outside as much as she can with her husband, dog, and toddler along for the nature-filled ride. She also loves to cook and bake, and cuddle up on the couch watching favorite reruns.
