Dr. Rodriguez specializes in the treatment of adults with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center and his fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the USC Institute of Psychiatry, Law, and Behavioral Science. He earned his Medical Doctorate from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Before his medical education, Dr. Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California. Dr. Rodriguez believes that mental health problems arise from a variety of biological, environmental, and psychological factors. He begins treatment with a thorough assessment to determine the correct diagnosis with a high degree of accuracy. Treatment continues with follow-up appointments which include medication prescription when indicated. Although Dr. Rodriguez does not provide individual therapy, he strongly encourages his patients to engage in psychotherapy, meditation, and exercise.
