I am a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin. I earned my undergraduate at Upper Iowa University and my master’s degree at Lakeland University. I have over 8 years of experience working as a psychiatric case manager and a community counselor. In addition, I have worked as a biblical counselor for my local church. I have extensive experience providing therapy for individuals both adult women and teenage girls over 16 yrs. old, couples, families, and other psychotherapists. My specialties include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, marriage and relationship issues, parenting challenges, women’s issues, and physical, sexual, and emotional trauma.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe nor agree with stigmatizing labels. My approach consists of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy, brief solution-focused approach, and biblical counseling. However, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs all with your assistance. I know it takes courage to take the first steps toward healing and change. I strongly believe knowing where you are mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually; can shift the focus to where you want to be, and map out how to get there; then change happens! I am the owner of Heart 2 Heart Connections and the Trauma-Informed Coordinator/Facilitator of the Unsilenced women’s group for survivors/thrivers of childhood sexual abuse.
