Psychoeducational Group
Group Overview:
Strengthening Families is an evidenced-based blended and nuclear family parenting curriculum to increase family communication and conflict resolution skills and strengths.
The focus is to increase protective factors to enhance child development, decrease risk factors for children and adolescents, and foster pro-social behaviors within families. This evidenced-based program will increase interactive parenting skills in conjunction with strengthening skills to address and discuss mental health and substance use issues. Each evening will offer psychoeducational and therapeutic components while families learn to nurture, develop strengths, and address the challenges of their children.
Participants: Parents of preschool, latency to pre-teen aged children. This group is inclusive of any families learning about nonbinary and/or transgender identity challenges.
When: In-person and virtual on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., starting October 23, 2024 and lasting for eight (8) weeks
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Colorado.
Facilitator:
Dr. Leslie Kille specializes in working thru a trauma-informed lens with youth, adults, families, and elders.
