Grief And Loss Group in Oregon
This group is for adults who have experienced the death of a friend of family member and are having difficulty coping with the loss.
Group Overview:
This 8-week virtual group focuses on developing methods and coping skills to move through the depression, sadness and anxiety that losing a loved one brings. It utilizes a CBT approach to enhance understanding the grief process for the purpose of helping individuals accept and move through grief.
The group will cover learning about different types of grief, changing the misconceptions of grief, how it effects physical and mental functioning, processing the emotions of grief, how to cope with holidays and special events. It will also cover the use of self-care and changing negative thinking to assist in healing grief.
Participants: Adults who are Oregon residents only
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted
Facilitator:
Teresa has been a Licensed professional Counselor since 2017. She graduated from Multnomah University with a Masters in Counseling.
Getting Started
When:
Virtual Sessions Mondays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., starting December 10, 2024 until January, 6, 2025
