Facilitator

Teresa Hunt, Therapist

Teresa has been a Licensed professional Counselor since 2017. She graduated from Multnomah University with a Masters in Counseling.

Teresa believes the counseling relationship to be a safe and trusting one that can bring the client change, hope and healing. She wants her clients to feel free to explore any areas of concern in their lives, so she strives to create a non-judgmental and welcoming environment. She sees herself as a guide to help the client attain the growth and change they are seeking. This means she works with the client in the direction the therapy takes and in the goal setting process. She strives to make the client feel valued and empowered to handle the issues they are facing. It is important for the client to understand that counseling is not always easy. Many times it is hard and challenging but the rewards of working through the difficult issues will be worth the effort. She does not adhere to one specific counseling theory. Rather, she uses strength-based, CBT and other approaches that best fit the clients concerns and the goals they want to achieve. Her main area of focus is grief, depression and anxiety.
