Group Overview:
Participants are introduced to DBT Skills in a group setting that can be helpful to manage/improve stress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills. During this group we will work together to help improve emotions that could help improve your lifestyle by using these learned skills. Suitable for those diagnosed with the following: anxiety disorders, depression disorders, and borderline personality disorder.
This time limited group is designed to boost skill building but does not replace long-term individual therapy.
Adults, ages 18+, all genders. This group would be suitable for those diagnosed with the following: anxiety disorders, depression disorders, and borderline personality disorder.
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Wisconsin

Nakisha Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing since 2016. She graduated from Alverno College with a Master’s Degree in Community Psychology.
Nakisha utilizes a treatment approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy( CBT) as a way to help provide insight into how our thoughts influence our emotions ad how emotions influence behavioral reactions, in addition to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT) with introduction of distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Nakisha’s main area of focus include adults, mood disorders (anxiety, depression), adjustment disorders, and grief.
Getting Started
When:
In person, once per week, Thursdays from 5 pm – 6:30 pm or Saturdays from 10 am – 11:30 am. Registration opens on April 4th and is ongoing. Participants can join at any time.

Initial Assessment May Be Required
An initial assessment with the group therapy leader may be required to determine if the group is a good fit for the participant.
