Specialty Programs & Services
Psychiatry & Medication Management
Psychiatric services at LifeStance start with a thorough psychiatric diagnostic assessment to enable the clinician to reach an accurate diagnosis, make appropriate treatment recommendations, and establish with the patient the most effective and patient-centered treatment plan. Laboratory or other diagnostic tests may be ordered as clinically indicated. After the initial assessment, follow-up visits focus on individualized medication evaluation and management, along with other therapeutic interventions as clinically appropriate. Ongoing care is done in close collaboration with any other mental or physical health care providers.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs)
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are small-group mental health educational programs that deliver a balance of support and structure to quickly improve an individual’s daily functioning. The programs are designed to help participants resolve immediate problem areas and develop skills to sustain long-term growth. The IOPs typically meet three times per week for three hours per day.
LifeStance’s IOPs are designed specifically for individuals experiencing difficulties requiring a higher level of care than weekly one-on-one therapy. Our IOPs also can help avoid hospitalization or serve as a transition from inpatient treatment. IOPs are also ideal for stabilizing those with a history of relapse or emotional instability.
Psychological Testing & Evaluation
LifeStance uses psychological testing that is objective and standardized specifically for use with infants, preschoolers, school-age children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. We only use measures that are considered valid and reliable for the question at hand.
Psychological tests cover a wide range of issues, including early childhood development, intelligence and academic achievement, personality, and cognition and memory. Some tests require a psychologist or psychometrist to administer face-to-face, while others are computerized or questionnaire-based. By better understanding individual patient issues, your LifeStance clinician can offer you the correct evidence-based psychosocial and psychopharmacological treatments.
Child & Adolescent Services
LifeStance provides a wide array of clinical services for children, adolescents and their families. Our diverse and experienced staff includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and social workers. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s needs, strengths and family background. Treatment goals that are specific and measurable are then developed in collaboration with the child and family.
