Alia Worthy, MSW, LISW,
About Alia Worthy (She/Her)
Alia Worthy helps adolescents, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Independent Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy to patients across Ohio, helping them build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward their mental health goals. Alia works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also offering support for a variety of additional emotional and behavioral concerns.
Alia is passionate about helping young people and adults overcome obstacles that interfere with daily life, relationships, and personal growth. She has experience supporting teens facing school avoidance, individuals struggling with childhood behavior-related concerns, and those navigating the effects of trauma and emotional distress. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment where patients can develop confidence, gain insight, and learn practical skills for lasting change.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, Alia tailors treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. She also offers Christian counseling for patients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. In addition to these specialties, she provides support for a range of other mental health concerns and life transitions.
Alia serves adolescents, teens, and adults, including individuals connected to adoption and foster care experiences. She believes in meeting patients where they are and partnering with them to create realistic, achievable paths forward. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and focused on empowering patients to identify their strengths while building the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges.
Outside of her clinical work, Alia enjoys spending time with her son, building community within her local church, traveling, journaling, and going for walks. These experiences help her maintain a balanced perspective and deepen her appreciation for the importance of connection, wellness, and personal growth.
