Christy Hudnett, LAC,
About Christy Hudnett (She/Her)
Christy Hudnett, LAC, helps teens, adults, and older adults across New Jersey navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based care. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy for people seeking help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and other mental health needs. Christy creates a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. A significant focus of Christy’s work is helping individuals and families affected by alcohol and drug use issues. She is passionate about supporting clients as they work toward recovery, strengthen coping skills, rebuild relationships, and develop healthier patterns. Her approach emphasizes resilience, self-awareness, and sustainable strategies that support long-term emotional well-being. In addition to substance use concerns, Christy works with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She treats teens, adults, and seniors, tailoring treatment to each individual’s goals, strengths, and circumstances. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, she helps clients develop practical tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall quality of life. She also offers support for couples and families seeking to improve communication, strengthen connections, and navigate difficult transitions. Christy offers additional expertise in a variety of mental health concerns and therapeutic approaches. Outside of her clinical work, Christy enjoys arts and crafts, photography, and cooking.
