Jami Shanes is a licensed professional counselor and licensed independent chemical dependency

counselor specializing in mental health and addiction treatment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in

Forensic Psychology (magna cum laude) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling,

both from John Carroll University.

Jami provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals navigating anxiety disorders,

depression, mood disorders, PTSD and trauma, substance use, ADHD, women’s issues, life

transitions, sleep disturbances, grief, and personality disorders. Her therapeutic approach integrates

cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and

other strength-based interventions including solution-focused therapy, anger management,

parenting skills training, and personal skills development.
