Finding a great therapist is very similar to dating. lol You have to know what you’re looking for and it can take a couple or many tries. So just keep going until you find one that works for you. You learn things about yourself and your needs as you keep progressing. I knew I needed at the very least a woman of color to understand my experiences. Luz is a great therapist. She has helped/ is helping me heal childhood trauma, a breakup, anxious attachment. I have had the most progress with her. She is kind and compassionate. Lifestance platform is also easy to use and seamless with my insurance. And virtual therapy has been a game changer. I have had several great therapists through here, so don’t be sad if your therapist moves to another job which happened to me twice.
