About Michael Pizza (He/Him)

Michael Pizza helps adults and older adults across Massachusetts find greater stability, symptom relief, and confidence in managing their mental health through thoughtful psychiatric medication management. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, he partners with patients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, concerns, and daily lives. Michael works with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, ADHD, and other mental health conditions, providing evidence-based care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Michael believes that effective mental health treatment begins with understanding the whole person. He takes time to listen carefully, educate patients about their treatment options, and develop medication strategies that are both practical and clinically sound. His approach emphasizes open communication, ongoing evaluation, and shared decision-making so patients can feel informed and empowered throughout their care.

One area of particular passion for Michael is helping individuals living with ADHD, PTSD, and psychosis. He understands the significant impact these conditions can have on relationships, work, and overall quality of life. By combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach, he helps patients navigate complex symptoms, reduce distress, and build a foundation for long-term wellness and recovery.

In addition to these areas, Michael provides care for concerns such as bipolar disorder, alcohol and drug use issues, grief, sleep disorders and insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and mental health challenges related to medical conditions. He also has experience working with military veterans, first responders, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, head injuries, and other unique healthcare needs. Additional specialties and populations are supported based on each patient’s individual circumstances.

Michael has been practicing since 2012 and completed his education at Rivier University and Fitchburg State University. His clinical background as a nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist allows him to bring a broad perspective to psychiatric care, balancing medical knowledge with a patient-centered approach.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys walking, listening to music, playing tennis, and practicing meditation. These interests help reinforce his appreciation for balance, mindfulness, and overall well-being.

Michael is proud to serve adults, including seniors, throughout Massachusetts with compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric medication management. Patients seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and other mental health conditions can look forward to personalized care focused on meaningful progress and lasting results.
