About Mr. John Mannion (He/Him)

John Mannion helps adults and older adults across Massachusetts navigate mental health challenges with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that balances clinical expertise, medication management, and the role of everyday wellness. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health, he partners with patients experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma to create individualized treatment plans that support both symptom relief and long-term emotional well-being. He recognizes that mental health is deeply connected to factors such as sleep, physical health, and overall quality of life, and he works collaboratively with each patient to identify the strategies that best fit their goals.

John is especially passionate about supporting individuals facing alcohol and drug use issues. Drawing on his background in both psychiatry and addiction medicine, he understands the complex relationship between substance use and mental health conditions. His approach is compassionate, practical, and nonjudgmental, helping patients address underlying challenges while building skills and supports that promote lasting recovery and resilience. He believes meaningful progress comes from understanding each person’s unique circumstances and creating a treatment plan tailored to their needs.

In addition to working with alcohol and drug use concerns, John provides medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also supporting individuals with ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep disorders, and other behavioral health needs. He has experience working with diverse patient populations, including first responders and military veterans, and offers additional support for a variety of mental health challenges beyond his primary areas of focus.

Before joining LifeStance Health, John gained valuable clinical experience at Boston Medical Center and New England Medical Group, where he cared for adults facing a broad spectrum of psychiatric and substance use concerns. He began practicing in 2021 and received his education through Northeastern University, Laboure College, and Curry College.

Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, playing golf, and staying active through exercise. These personal interests reinforce his belief in the importance of self-care, balance, and healthy habits as part of overall wellness.
