I had the opportunity to work in a community Behavioral Health Center and saw a great need for mental health services in the community. This fueled my desire to work with this population. In my role as a PMHNP, I work with the patient, for the patient to help guide them to be the very best of themselves. I use of both medication management and brief psychotherapy to help patients to reach their desired goals. I have experience in treating a range of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma related disorders. I have special interests in working with youth and young adults dealing, minority mental health, and individuals experiencing undiagnosed mental illnesses. From the first visit, my goal is to develop a collaborative relationship where the individual can explore all aspects of themselves in a meaningful way and without judgment. If medications are indicated, I promote collaboration with the patient in the development of a treatment plan suited to the individual needs of the patient. I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degree from the LaSalle University. I completed my Postmasters’ as a PMHNP from University of Cincinnati.
