A word about ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) evaluations: Dr. Golder no longer agrees with the APA that a clinical evaluation alone is sufficient for making a clinical diagnosis, and believes that some degree of neuropsychological testing should be done. His general recommendation is that those seeking opinions regarding ADHD should first arrange for comprehensive neuropsychological testing, given the high likelihood of overlap with other psychiatric disorders (commonly mood and anxiety disorders) before consulting a psychiatrist.
