Winnie Wu, MD
Specializes In:
Winnie Wu, MD, helps adults across Texas navigate complex mental health challenges with compassionate psychiatric care and personalized medication management. At LifeStance Health, she works with patients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related concerns, with a focus on creating practical treatment plans that support long-term emotional wellness and daily functioning. Dr. Wu serves adults ages 18 and older and understands how mental health conditions can affect relationships, work performance, sleep, and overall quality of life. Dr. Wu is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are transitioning back into everyday life. She recognizes that this period can feel overwhelming and uncertain, and she prioritizes continuity of care, stabilization, and ongoing psychiatric support during recovery. Her approach combines evidence-based medication management with mindfulness strategies to help patients build resilience, reduce symptoms, and regain confidence in their mental health journey. She also has experience supporting women’s mental health concerns, including post-partum depression and anxiety, as well as patients coping with grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, insomnia, and PTSD. In addition to treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, Dr. Wu works with populations including first responders, military veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and women seeking thoughtful, affirming mental health care. She offers additional support for other emotional and behavioral health concerns as needed. Dr. Wu earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center after completing her undergraduate education at Rice University. She has been practicing since 2022 and is committed to helping patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. Outside of work, Dr. Wu enjoys traveling, reading, ice skating, and exploring new restaurants. She is proud to provide accessible psychiatric care for adults throughout Texas through LifeStance Health.
