Her theoretical orientation prioritizes client’s unique goals, values, and sociocultural background. Using this framework, she draws on a variety of evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and family systems. Education & Certifications: Dr. Shanahan received her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at William James College in Newton, MA, followed by a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Connecticut – Student Health and Wellness Mental Health. Dr. Shanahan is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Lifestance Health.
