Dr. Tawnee Tanner, PsyD, is passionate about helping individuals of all ages build healthier, more fulfilling lives through evidence-based, compassionate care. Practicing at LifeStance Health and serving communities throughout Ohio, she works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing. Dr. Tanner provides a safe, welcoming environment where clients can openly address life’s challenges, strengthen resilience, and discover new ways to thrive.

A central focus of Dr. Tanner’s work is trauma-based therapy. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals who have experienced abuse, loss, or other life-disrupting events, helping them process difficult emotions and reclaim a sense of control and confidence. In addition, she specializes in working with those exploring gender identity and members of the LGBTQ+ community, offering affirming, identity-centered care. Dr. Tanner also serves children and adolescents from adoption and foster care backgrounds, providing a nurturing space to navigate attachment, emotional regulation, and identity development.

Dr. Tanner integrates a range of clinical approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychological testing services. She is experienced in treating a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and psychosis, with a thoughtful, individualized approach to care.

Away from her clinical work, Dr. Tanner enjoys reading, drawing, dancing, and camping with friends — experiences that reflect the balance and creativity she encourages in her patients’ lives.
