Lisa Tange, MSW, LCSW
Lisa Tange, LCSW, brings over 30 years of expertise to her practice at LifeStance Health. She provides compassionate and innovative approaches to mental health care to support diverse communities of individuals, couples and families across California. She serves adults of all ages, including teens, and specializes in building therapeutic relationships to address depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, burnout/compassion fatigue, life transitions, child welfare, Indian child welfare, social justice, climate anxiety and eco distress. She utilizes a multitude of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, somatic, narrative, family systems and motivational interviewing. She has additional certifications in mindfulness meditation, nature based and equine assisted coaching. Lisa is passionate about cultivating empathy, inclusion and multicultural practices. She believes that every person has intrinsic value and strength and can make progress towards improved well-being in their lives. And, that each person is unique and benefits from an individualized assessment and plan. This includes evidence-based traditional and holistic approaches to treatment, honoring the mind-body connection that is critical for balanced and productive daily functioning. She works collaboratively through compassionate engagement, productive communication and the recognition and celebration of progress along the way. Lisa grew up in Pasadena, CA, earned her undergraduate degree at UC Santa Barbara, her graduate degree from San Diego State and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2002. Lisa has had a lifelong passion for travel and has been on adventures on all seven continents. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures, religions, celebrations, food and music. She makes time for camping, hiking, horseback riding, snowboarding and nature immersion. Lisa also fosters kitties and has adopted two of them – Lexi and Lukas.
