Lela Hernandez, LPCC, helps teens, adults, and seniors across California build resilience, restore emotional balance, and move forward with confidence. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual and family therapy tailored to each client’s goals. Serving patients throughout CA, Lela supports adolescents (15–17), young adults, adults, and older adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and complex mental health concerns. Her clinical expertise centers on anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, helping clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping strategies. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness, she works collaboratively with clients to reduce symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen communication within families. She also offers additional support for concerns such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, and sleep difficulties. Lela is especially passionate about court ordered treatment and parental custody cases. She understands the emotional intensity and legal stress that often accompany these situations and provides structured, goal-oriented counseling designed to promote accountability, emotional growth, and healthier family dynamics. Her approach balances clinical objectivity with compassion, ensuring that clients feel heard and respected while meeting court or family-related requirements. She has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, first responders, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and family therapy interventions, she empowers clients to clarify their values, strengthen relationships, and make meaningful behavioral changes. Since beginning her practice in 2019, Lela has remained committed to professional growth and to treating every individual with dignity, empathy, and respect. Outside of her clinical work, she is passionate about helping others become who they strive to be and continually seeks new ways to support clients in reaching their personal goals.
