Do you miss a lost loved one? Are you not the same as you used to be? Do too many thoughts invade your mind, making you feel overwhelmed or stuck? Landan Hydrick, Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, is here to support you through any loss, grieving, life transition, unexpected event, and subsequent mental health concerns. He believes that loss—whether death, divorce, breakups, career changes, financial hardships, unfulfilled dreams, or any emotional connection—is not meant to be pathologized or labeled, but that it’s best to be felt and supported. Landan is your partner in feeling, processing, coping, and finding new, meaningful motivations. Landan especially values a support system during times of loss or change because he’s grieved his own losses.

After his late father passed away, he was forced to face life without a dad as well as a role model who always gave him strong advice, solutions, and guidance. Landan recognizes that these secondary losses, such as a loss of safety, comfort, or self, are experienced universally. When volunteering as a group facilitator with Voices of Grief, an organization providing supportive spaces to honor the natural process of grief and to educate the community on healthy expressions of grief and mourning, Landan sees how participants’ similar pains allow them to relate, unite, and heal.

As a triplet, Landan cherishes deep connections with his siblings—who often finish each other’s sentences—and enjoys visiting them and other family in South Carolina. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina and his Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. Living in Colorado is a joy because connecting with nature helps him connect with himself. He invites you to connect with him and find the support you deserve.
