Carly Smith, MSW, LCSW,
About Carly Smith (She/Her)
Carly Smith helps adults and seniors throughout Georgia find clarity, resilience, and emotional balance during life’s most challenging transitions. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, grief, and other concerns that can affect mental and emotional well-being. Carly creates a warm, thoughtful therapeutic environment where patients can explore their experiences, build coping skills, and move toward a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. Carly is particularly passionate about helping individuals navigate midlife transitions, later life transitions, and grief. She understands that significant life changes, whether related to aging, loss, identity, relationships, retirement, or shifting life roles, can bring uncertainty and emotional distress. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, she helps patients process difficult emotions, discover personal strengths, and adapt to new chapters with confidence and self-compassion. Her therapeutic style is grounded in evidence-based care and tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Carly incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for lasting change. While she has particular expertise in anxiety, depression, and life transitions, she also provides support for additional mental health concerns that may be impacting a patient’s quality of life. Carly believes meaningful healing often begins with slowing down, becoming present, and reconnecting with what matters most. She values authenticity, curiosity, and the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster growth and emotional wellness. Outside of her clinical work, Carly enjoys hiking and spending time in nature. She finds joy in simple experiences such as feeling grass beneath her bare feet, listening to the sound of rain, taking in beautiful views, and sharing laughter with others. These personal passions reflect her appreciation for mindfulness, connection, and finding comfort in the present moment. Serving patients across Georgia through LifeStance Health, Carly is dedicated to helping adults and seniors navigate anxiety, depression, grief, midlife challenges, and later-life transitions with compassionate, individualized care. She welcomes those seeking support, healing, and personal growth.
